This society aims to encourage, bring together, and assist those interested in the pursuit of family history among its various branches. It also aims to promote genealogical research, set standards for genealogical excellence by encouragement and instruction in effective research methods and make available to those whose ancestors are from Ontario, the knowledge, diversity and comprehensiveness of the genealogical resources in Ontario and share expertise in other geographic areas.

Volunteer/Internship/Placement Opportunities:

Yes; there are many volunteer positions available through the Provincial Office. Volunteers are recruited to act as readers, writers, typists, organizers, editors, proof-readers, database designers, cataloguers, speakers at events.
