This society aims to bring together individuals interested in the practice, promotion, and advancement of archaeology, particularly in the province of Ontario. It aims to elevate and advance the discipline of archaeology, discourage illegal archaeological investigation and excavation, and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between all those interested in the study of archaeology among its various branches.

This society publishes archaeological literature and site reports.

Volunteer/Internship/Placement Opportunities:

Individuals can volunteer with a local chapter, assist at events sponsored by the society, and contribute to the society’s publications
